As our children begin to participate in regular youthful activities such as riding a bike or ice skating, small yet significant misalignments (subluxations) in their spine can occur. Over time, these seemingly insignificant misalignments can compound on themselves leading to impaired function of the nervous system. You can think of the nervous system as the channel through which signals are passed from the brain to body and vice versa. In order to reduce the spinal nervous stress a doctor will analyze the spinal column. Where the spinal column is found to be functioning improperly, the Doctor of Chiropractic performs precise corrective procedures called spinal adjustments. The doctor proceeds by using his or her hands and complementary instruments to correct the areas that have shifted through stress.

Contrary to consequence of many medications chiropractic does not merely mask the ailment’s symptoms nor does it create unintended outcomes. All children benefit from a fully efficient nervous system. Chiropractic is gentle and effective and allows for children to feel their best.
